Teal it Forward

Halloween was always a mixed bag for me as a young kid. I would have fun dressing up in my costume and going trick-or-treating with my friends. But then there was always the inevitable, sad moment when I would hand those friends my candy loot.

Epinephrine is the only treatment that can reverse the life-threatening symptoms of anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction. Spring-loaded syringes called auto-injectors make it easier for patients, health care providers and members of the public to inject the correct dose of epinephrine solution into the patient’s thigh muscle.

The back-to-school season is a busy time for all parents, but especially for parents of children with food allergies. Thankfully, there are many resources online to help parents prepare for a new school year for their children with food allergies.

Back to school seems to be that infamous time of year that many students dread. The back to school commercials remind us of the fading summer and early morning alarm clocks soon to come.
