Education & Support Program Manager

Education Programs

• Manage and monitor the FARE Education Inbox, serving as the first line of response for public inquiries related to food allergy and FARE.  
• Provide clear and accurate information to individuals and families living with food allergy, support group leaders, educators, and other stakeholders who reach out for assistance.
• Coordinate with internal teams to escalate or address complex inquiries, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
• Identify trends or frequently asked questions from inbox inquiries and support the development and update of resources to better meet community needs.
• Maintain a knowledge base of FARE’s programs, initiatives, and resources to ensure consistent and informed communication.
• Provide management and administrative support on monthly FARE webinars (under the FARE Medical Director)

Support Programs

• Oversee the existing FARE Recognized Support Groups and the Teen Advisory Group.
  • Communicate FARE programs and initiatives to support group leaders and teen advisory group members regularly. 
  • Develop and support programming for support group leaders (e.g. roundtable discussions) and teen advisory group (e.g. college chats)
• Manage and track support group status, overseeing FARE’s Recognized Support Group webpage to accurately reflect the current state.
• Oversee the successful onboarding and management of new and existing support group leaders. This includes maintaining and updating Support Group Leader training materials, managing and monitoring the FARE Support Group Leader Facebook page and other communications. 
• Manage community outreach awards and stipend application process, award process, and reconciliation of funds.
• Work in concert with staff to identify, cultivate, and manage partnerships that amplify FARE’s volunteer activities, particularly in FARE Neighborhoods sites.
   

• At least 5 years of experience working in external stakeholder management and engagement at a non-profit patient advocacy, health promotion, or community health engagement organization
• Knowledge of food allergy preferred
• Excellent, proven project management skills
• Proficiency in phone calls, emails, and other timely communications with external stakeholders are key
• Proven ability to build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships and partnerships that deliver shared value and alignment with organizational goal
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Experience and comfort with public speaking
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and work both independently and as part of a high-performing team
• Native level proficiency in a second language, both spoken and written, a plus
• Some travel required – up to 10% time.
   

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience preferred
