Assistant Director of Major Gifts

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Assistant Director of Major Gifts is responsible for increasing the number of newly qualified donors who can support FARE at the five to seven-figure+ level. This person will be an integral member of the major gifts team and work closely with the Director of Development to strategically build and expand the major gift pipeline, deepen philanthropic relationships, and increase philanthropic support for FARE's mission.  The Assistant Director of Major Gifts is a frontline fundraising role that will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of current and prospective philanthropists and developing cultivation strategies. Through personal visits and meaningful interactions, the Assistant Director of Major Gifts will identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit and close gifts of $10,000+ and steward donors. This person will work collaboratively and strategically with and in support of lead volunteers, senior staff, and Board members to successfully cultivate and steward major donors. This person will be an integral part of the major gifts team and responsible for developing and cultivating a portfolio of current and prospective philanthropists in support of FARE’s mission. The Assistant Director of Major Gifts will be responsible for achieving or surpassing personal fundraising goals and will contribute to the Development Team’s overall fundraising goals for the organization.
