Food Allergy Awareness Week

Food Allergy Awareness Week is May 11 to May 17, 2025. Join us for a week of honoring, inspiring and empowering everyday individuals to take action in support of their friends, family, and colleagues living with this disease.

In 2024 We Celebrated Allies & Champions

Over 33 million Americans have a serious and potentially life-threatening food allergy. Every 10 seconds, food allergy sends a patient to the emergency room.

May 12-18, 2024, we convened allies and champions to come together and raise awareness of this often invisible but potentially life-threatening disease.

Nominate a food allergy ally or champion for a chance to be featured on our social!

USA Proclamation

Food Allergy Awareness Week Proclamations

Each year, elected officials including governors, mayors and city council members across the country make formal proclamations recognizing Food Allergy Awareness Week. They do this in response to requests from people like you! As FARE receives proclamations, the corresponding states on our map will be shaded teal, the color of food allergy awareness.
