Courage at Congress: FARE's Advocacy Day to Fight Food Allergies
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Washington, D.C. for our inaugural Courage at Congress: FARE’s Advocacy Day to Fight Food Allergies!
Your personal experiences helped educate many members of Congress and their staff about the importance of co-sponsoring the Food Allergy Safety, Treatment, Education, and Research (FASTER) Act, H.R. 2117.
Thanks to your efforts, in the days since the advocacy day we have seen the Health Subcommittee of the House Energy and Commerce Committee review and “mark up” our sesame labeling bill, the last step before our bill can be voted for on the House floor. And, Senators Tim Scott (R-SC) and Chris Murphy (D-CT) introduced their sesame labeling bill.
None of this would be possible without your support, thank you!
Check out more photos from the event and we hope to see you next year!
