FARE Hires Seasoned Corporate Relations Professional to Lead Corporate Partnerships
Kevin Silard brings 20+ years of nonprofit and private-sector experience
MCLEAN, Va. September 16, 2020 – Today, FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), the world’s leading non-governmental organization engaged in food allergy advocacy and the largest private funder of food allergy research, announced Kevin Silard as its new senior director of corporate sponsorship. Silard will lead efforts to cultivate, manage and grow FARE’s relationships with corporate sponsors and partners on all issues pertaining to food allergy, a disease that currently affects more than 32 million Americans and has no cure.
Silard comes to FARE with more than two decades of experience in nonprofit and private-sector work. Prior to joining FARE, Kevin was Director of Corporate Relations for the National Governors Association (NGA), where he closed $70 million in corporate donations, including increasing annual giving during two national recessions.
"Kevin is an important addition to our team as we continue to promote impactful changes for the food allergy community,” said Lisa Gable, chief executive officer of FARE. “With his previous experience in building and maintaining relationships, I am confident that he will continue to grow our community and its support for the many individuals and their loved ones who are affected by life-threatening food allergies."
“FARE’s mission is very important to me, and I look forward to maintaining the organization’s current corporate relationships while also finding new, exciting paths for collaboration,” said Silard. “I am both grateful and excited about this new opportunity. As FARE’s ambassador to the private sector, I will be committed to creating positive outcomes for the food allergy community.”
Silard will manage all corporate sponsorships for FARE. His work with corporate sponsors will enable the organization to transform the future of the food allergy community through strategic partnerships.
