FARE and EveryBite Partner on New Report for Restaurant Operators to Provide Visibility into Their Food Allergy Diners' Needs

Leveraging dynamic menus provides compelling real time data while better serving the food allergy community

McLEAN, Va.—April 8, 2025—FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), the leading charity that supports those impacted by food allergies through advocacy, research, and education, today announced a partnership with EveryBite, a first-of-its-kind platform for personalized, online menu solutions. The partnership will produce a quarterly report for restaurant operators that provides a window into the needs of the food allergy consumer group through the lens of the EveryBite platform.

FARE’s belief is that by providing restaurant operators with insights into the size, needs, and dining habits of the food allergy consumer group, along with tools to measure and understand the potential opportunity, the restaurant industry will see the value in creating safer dining experiences for the food allergy community.

“This report provides restaurant operators with the insights and tools to better understand how frequently and in what ways food allergy diners engage with their brand and establishments,” said Sung Poblete, PhD, RN, CEO of FARE. “By defining and making food allergy diners more visible to restaurant operators, FARE believes it is possible to foster a synergy where food allergy patients have access to more information in a format that is easily, and ideally more frequently, updated.”

Sung Poblete continued, “At the same time, restaurant operators can better recognize and act on the opportunities presented by food allergy diners. The result is a dining landscape that not only becomes more welcoming and inclusive but also offers more and safer dining options for food allergy patients, their families, and loved ones. Restaurant operators gain access to a previously invisible consumer group, unlocking new opportunities for profitability while elevating the overall dining experience with safer, more enjoyable options for all. This is the definition of a win-win."

EveryBite’s personalization replaces static PDF menus that often languish without updates with a dynamic, online interactive and highly customized experience that serves all dining guests, including those managing food allergies. By utilizing the on-menu filters, guests save their ingredient preferences and/or food allergies into the SmartMenu, resulting in a truly personalized e-commerce style shopping experience. In turn, restaurant operators gain valuable revenue driving insights into the behaviors and buying trends of this consumer group.

“Partnering with FARE allows us to demonstrate how understanding diner trends, particularly those managing food allergies can create value for both restaurants and their guests,” said Sid Conklin, CEO of EveryBite. “By leveraging data insights, restaurants can save money, better serve their diners, and build lasting loyalty, all while creating a safer and more inclusive dining experience for the food allergy community.”

This collaboration reflects an alignment of purpose between the two organizations without a financial component. The initial report was released today and is linked here. For more information visit www.foodallergy.org or www.everybite.com.
