FARE Statement Regarding Undeclared Allergens in Chick-fil-A Products

FARE is aware of a recent incident involving Chick-fil-A where undeclared dairy allergens were found in their Grilled Filets and Grilled Nuggets. To our knowledge, Chick-fil-A is responding appropriately to notify customers, work with the supplier where the mistake originated, and reassess processes so that this situation does not reoccur. FARE wants to share Chick-fil-A’s statement on the occurrence and encourage all Chick-fil-A patrons to contact the company directly with any concerns.

Chick-fil-A statement
“Food safety and quality are our top priorities, and we take great care in adhering to stringent food safety procedures. Therefore, when a supplier notified us they had unintentionally added an undeclared dairy allergen in the recipe for our Grilled Filets and Grilled Nuggets, we took immediate steps to notify guests of this temporary issue. We are actively working with the supplier so this doesn’t happen again and to ensure the allergen is removed. We understand and take seriously the trust our Guests place in us to make sure their food is how they expect it, and we apologize for this situation. Our priority is that our impacted Guests can enjoy these products again soon.”
