FARE Statement on Congress’ Bipartisan Efforts to Stabilize the Healthcare System
Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE) advocates on behalf of the 15 million Americans with food allergies, including those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. FARE commends Senator Lamar Alexander (R-TN) and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) for their bipartisan proposal to stabilize the healthcare system, provide more insurance choices at lower cost, and ensure access to care for patients with preexisting conditions such as food allergies. FARE urges leaders in both chambers of Congress to take up this legislation before the end of the year.
