Trace Adkins Wins Best Male Video at the 2008 CMT Music Awards

Thanks to the fans who voted in the 2008 CMT Music Awards, Trace Adkins won Male Video of the Year for his video “I Got My Game On.” Winning the award also means giving back to FAAN, as CMT One Country is donating $5,000 to the charity of each winner’s choice, and Trace chose FAAN! “I’ve never felt the support from the fans like I’m feeling it this year. This is voted on by the fans, so I really appreciate it,” says Trace Adkins.

Food Allergy Awareness Week
Help spread the word about Living and Learning With Food Allergies during the 11th Annual Food Allergy Awareness Week (FAAW), May 11-17, 2008. This week is devoted to food allergies and provides an opportunity to educate others. There are lots of ways to get involved—visit a local ambulance provider to learn about epinephrine, hang posters, have a fundraiser, talk to legislators – everything helps.

Research Study: Call for Participants
Do you have a child under 12 months of age with an egg, milk, or peanut allergy? You and your child may qualify to participate in an NIH co-sponsored study to discover ways for better diagnosis, treatment and prevention of food allergy. This observations study includes typical food allergy care including usual skin and blood tests, and treatment all free of charge as part of the study. Learn more to see if would like to participate in this important study.

Studies and feedback from our members indicate that belonging to a support or education group can help relieve some of the stress or worry of managing food allergies day-to-day. We’ve added a Support Group section to our Web site to help you contact people in your local area.
