- The Be a PAL educational awareness program is designed to provide educators with information for teaching students what food allergies are and how to help friends who have food allergies.
-
- Anyone can be a PAL by following these five easy
steps:
-
- 1. Never take food allergies lightly.
- 2. Don’t share food with friends who have food allergies.
- 3. Wash your hands after eating.
- 4. Ask what your friends are allergic to, and help them avoid it.
- 5. If a friend who has food allergies becomes ill, get help immediately!
-
- A PAL Hero is someone whose actions help prevent a serious allergic reaction or even save a life. Schools can honor PAL Heroes with special recognition and award certificates.
-
- Bring the PAL program to your school today! You may download this reproducible brochure and PAL Hero award certificate for students. Please let FAAN know about your PALs as well.
