For Researchers

The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) is accepting Letters of Intent for our competitive grants program, which focuses on the Epidemiology, Etiology, Treatment, and Prevention of Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis until May 6, 2009.

One- to two-year grants are awarded in the range of $50,000-$150,000 annually.

This grant program is open to investigators all over the world. Investigators in the United States must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. Investigators outside the United States must have the equivalent. Competitive applicants have a proven track record of research experience.

The Letter of Intent should be a two-page description of the proposed project and should include an explanation of its relevance to the grant program and its goals, the facilities available, and the amount of funds required. A curriculum vitae (CV) is also required.

All Letters of Intent are peer-reviewed, and some, but not necessarily all, investigators will be invited to submit a full proposal.

Although proposals involving basic or clinical research are accepted, applications that will lead to an immediate or potential impact on the healthcare of persons with IgE-mediated food allergy are especially encouraged.

For questions regarding research programs, eligibility, and policies, and terms and conditions, send an e-mail to FAAN’s director of research.
