Food Allergy Awareness Week
Food Allergy Awareness Week is May 11 to May 17, 2025. This year, we’re busting myths and sharing facts about food allergy—and asking people to bring food allergy awareness to the workplace!
Food Allergy Awareness Week 2025
Food Allergy Awareness Week is May 11-17!
This year, all May (Food Allergy Awareness Month), we’re asking people to come together and raise awareness by sharing our “Food Allergy Myths and Facts” resource in your community.
If you're on social media, take part by posting one "Myth vs. Fact" that resonates for you. Or print out the flyer and pass it out where you work or go to school. Need a Spanish version? We’ve got that too!

Did you know 1 in 10 adults in the U.S. have a food allergy?
Food allergy isn’t just a worry in schools or at restaurants—a food allergy reaction can happen anytime, anywhere, including at work. Sharing the office kitchen, celebratory staff parties, networking lunches and dinners, travel for conferences; these moments can all pose challenges for someone with food allergy.
This May, we’re asking people to bring food allergy awareness to the workplace. FARE has compiled the resources to get you started!

Food Allergy Awareness Week Proclamations
Each year, elected officials including governors, mayors and city council members across the country make formal proclamations recognizing Food Allergy Awareness Week. They do this in response to requests from people like you! As FARE receives proclamations, the corresponding states on our map will be shaded teal, the color of food allergy awareness.
